Sometimes the simplest thing can make the biggest impact. Sometimes we are creatively stuck and need to change one thing to unblock creative energy.
I didn’t even know that I was feeling blocked until I made a few changes over the weekend. First, I moved my bedroom furniture around so that my head is facing a different direction. This one thing freed up space in the room and makes it feels more open and airy. I can now enjoy the breeze from an open window and have spots of sunlight in an otherwise shady room.
My second and maybe most important change was rearranging my office space. Now I am better utilizing my work area and it feels calmer and more spacious. I feel much more productive just sitting here answering emails or talking on the phone; which is a good thing because I had three new client referrals today!
One small change (or maybe both of these changes) made a big difference and opened up my environment to better energy. I am refocused and open to new opportunities.
I know this strategy works for others when we are working together to finish bookkeeping related issues or cleaning out the garage. The energy that was buried under stacks of papers or clutter is released leaving an organized area full of positive energy. Sometimes it is as simple as just changing the wall color or moving something to another area. Whatever it takes, one small change can bring in fresh energy.
I challenge you to change or simplify one thing and see where inspiration takes you.
