I am so inspired by this home office photo I found online. I would get so much work done in this space! It has such a great color palette and flow to it with room for work and client meetings. The fireplace just sets the mood keeping the work space warm and inviting. From floor to ceiling, this office space is stunning.
Space planning is so important to productivity. Having everything I need within easy reach saves time. The filing cabinet is to the right, just a swivel away and the office supplies would be organized in the upper cabinet to the left. This keeps the clutter out of the line of vision but within easy reach when needed.
Having a visually inspiring space, helps my work ethic. When there is a place for supplies and paperwork, the area is always organized, clean and ready for work. I can’t work in a space where papers are everywhere. It is too stressful! The clean work areas in this office leave room to spread out when needed. It also leaves room for an assistant. I think we could all use help from time to time so creating a space for them to work, would help!
The layout of this office is an example of space planning for all areas of our home. When we think about the purpose for each room and create the function around this idea, we are setting an atmosphere and creating our style. Living in a purposefully designed home and only surrounding ourselves with things that we love takes time and planning. The end result can happen quickly with the help of a designer or can continue to be a work in progress as our style develops like my home.
I love creating spaces and helping clients realize their vision. When a space is out of control, we lose sight of the real purpose of the room and lose inspiration which is where I come in. Having someone help to bring the pull sheets and ideas to life gives us the energy and motivation to bring the comfort back to our home. We can’t always see the path to this vision so a little help now and then.
